On our second morning at Kurumba we were lucky enough to enjoy an a-la carte breakfast at the Thila restaurant - it had the most STUNNING view our across the ocean! I opted for the potato fritta with salmon and avacado, which was truly delicious! I also had a plate of fresh fruit and unlimited rose champagne.. can I get a HELL YEAH for breakfasts in The Maldives?! This is how every day should start! *I wish...

Fresh from the plane, we arrived at Kurumba around 3pm in the afternoon and whilst our baggage was being taken to our room we were whisked off to the islands Cafe for some wonderful Thai food and passionfruit cocktails - I had Pad Thai and my GOD it was amazing! Ben opted for Sushi and said it was so incredibly fresh, it was just what the doctor ordered after a journey of nearly 18 hours travelling! Now to explore the island...

We arrived at Kurumba on a Sunday afternoon and were invited to their welcome drinks from 5-7pm which they put on for the guests, it was situated at Kandu, the islands beach bar! There was free flowing wine, competitions, massages and a live DJ - it was the perfect evening to enjoy a glass of Rose and catch our first sunset in The Maldives - we already knew Kurumba had stolen our hearts at this moment - how could it not?!

We were lucky enough to stay in a Deluxe Pool Villa during our stay which was simply B E A U T I U F U L! As soon as I laid eyes on the pool I was like 'yep, okay, that's where you'll find me during our stay!' - we had an incredible bath tub which looked out over our pool, an outdoor shower, a bottle of complimentary welcome Prosecco, Molton Brown toilettries, and THE comfiest bed.. possible EVER! If you're thinking of booking a stay/honeymoon at Kurumaba then I can DEFINITELY vouch that the Deluxe Pool Villa is everything you would expect and more - you will NOT be dissapointed!

Whilst I'm just confessing my love for this island then I think I need to mention that this spa was quite *possibly the prettiest spa I've ever seen! From the decor, to the service, treatments and rooms - this spa was second to none! We booked in for a full body massage the morning after our flight and it was truly the best way to detox our bodies and feel a little more human! Just LOOK at those treatment rooms though!...
