Dos Toros, 295 Park Ave S, New York, NY 10010
So myself and my beautiful pal Kat recently embarked on a trip to NYC (did you catch this outfit post with La Redoute here? Or a review of The Wellington hotel here?), whilst we were there, we went on the hunt for some decent Mexican food. I adore Mexican food and could probably eat it anywhere at anytime (okay, maybe not breakfast, but still!), one night in our hotel we did some research into the best Mexican restaurants in town and came across Dos Toros.
Dos Toros currently have 12 locations in NYC alone and are rapidly expanding due to demand for good Mexican food in the city which is tres exciting! Myself and Kat, met with Marcus; a lovely employee of Dos Toros at their 23rd & Park shop (great central location near 5th Avenue and broadway!); we grabbed some yummy food and headed to Maddison Square to grab a seat in the sunshine as it was such a beautiful day! Amazing food in amazing weather… what more could we ask for?! The restaurants have limited seating so if it's a nice day I'd recommend finding a park close by and enjoy the views!
I opted for the pork burrito whilst Kat & Marcus enjoyed a Quesadilla, we ordered some chips and guacamole (freshly made every morning) between us and some yummy Mandarin Jarritos drink (a mexican style soda - tastes so good, kind of like orange soda! Who likes orange soda?! LOLZ), Dos Toros was voted the number 1 burrito joint in NYC and I can vouch that the food was bloody awesome! They use super fresh ingredients, 100% naturally raised meats, freshly made guacamole and the fluffiest rice - yum! If you're in NYC I'd highly recommend seeking out on of their 12 stores in the city for some delicious, authentic Mexican food! The prices are super reasonable too - expect to pay around $10 per main, so it's perfect for a lunch time stop off!
