I've got a challenge for you all… I challenge you to get to the end of this post without dribbling? Got it? Okay, let's go! A couple of weeks back I took my bestie to Barcelona for her birthday (more on that here), on our last night we headed to the infamous W Hotel Barcelona for some dinner at their burger & cocktail Salt Restaurant. If you haven't been to Barcelona before, the W Hotel is situated right at the end of the beach with the most incredible view! We spent the evening there having the most delicious dinner and cocktails whilst watching the sunset… dreamy right?! Now, strap in because I'm about to tell you why you need to visit (I'd go back to Barca just for this meal all over again TBF, that's probably quite sad but oh well!)
So, ummm the cocktails were insaneeeeee! I had a Salt Martini (well 3 actually, LOLZ) and Amy had the Salt Mojito (I can confirm that it was also delicious! The cocktails are priced between 12-14 euros so around London prices, expect to pay 7 euros for a glass of wine and between 6-7 euros for a beer, I think the prices were super reasonable, I'd recommend the Salt Restaurant if only to enjoy a few cocktails and enjoy the sunset!
Salt Martini; Capucana Cachaça / Lychee / Vanilla / Lime
Salt Mojito; Brugal Rum / Guava / Cocunut / Mint / Lime
Where do I start?! The food was absolutely divine! As the restaurant is branded 'burgers and cocktails' we knew the burgers would be a good shout, however we had a burger for lunch at a restaurant recommendation from Twitter, and alas we decided against the double burger. We saw some on surrounding tables and they looked delicious so definitely try them if you visit! We opted for a salad in the end, (I KNOW, WHO EVEN AM I!?), I'm one of those people who never orders salads because if you're eating out, you gotta get something worth it right?! Wrong. This was hands down the best salad I've ever eaten in my life (yup, amazing salads are a thing guys!), this one came with roasted peach, caramelised onion and honey & sesame vinaigrette. It cost just 13 euros and was just so, so good - I'd definitely recommend it! We also ordered a side of cheesy tacos (to take the edge off the no-burger trauma naturally!).
OMG the dessert platter… THERE ARE NO WORDS <3
THE DESSERT & THE VIEWS...
I'm pretty sure I've sold this restaurant to you by now, this is just for added decoration (or maybe I saved the best until last, uh huh). After dinner we ordered another cocktail but wasn't planning on ordering dessert when the wonderful staff bought over this sharing sampler platter and I wanted to kiss them there and then, just look at it *inserts hearts in eye emoji!. Just when you thought this place couldn't get any better they bring out giant cookies and chocolate brownies that are STILL WARM. I DIE. The restaurant is surrounded by beautiful palm trees (along with beautiful people skating and exercising whilst you shovel chocolate brownie into your mouth, but such is life, heh?), this restaurant was definitely a highlight of our trip and I will 10000000% be going back
if when I return to Barcelona! Check out the Salt restaurant or one of the W's other restaurants if you're visiting!
Have you ever been to Barcelona before? Is this somewhere you'd like to visit? Have you been to the W before? It's SO stunning!
*A huge thank you to the W for hosting our dinner, all images, opinions and dribble are my own!
