7 Reasons You NEED To Visit A Festival This Summer!

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

So, I make it absolutely no secret that I bladdy love a good festival! Every summer I'm itching to hear what line ups have been released and it's genuinely one of my favourite things to do in the summer, come rain or shine (mainly shine fingers crossed, festivals in the rain aren't *quite as much fun!). This weekend just gone I was fortunate enough to attend British Summer Time to watch Mumford & Sons with the lovely team at Outside Org followed by a day at Electric Daisy Carnival to watch Martin Garrix, Avicii, Axwell & Ingrosso and Oliver Heldens to name a few (oh my goodnesssssss it was the BEST day for music I tell thee!). I already can't wait to see who will be playing next year as I'll 100% be heading back to both! BST has a super chilled out, beers-in-the-sunshine vibe, ideal for children and families, whilst EDC was slightly more Ibiza-esque but in a good way, oh, and it was hands down the best stage set I've ever witnessed (it had an actually waterfall on the stage, say whuttttt?!). Anywho, love me a ramble don't I?! The idea of this post is to convince you to head to a festival this summer, and here's 7 reasons why...

1.) You can drink cider (or another warm drink of your choice), in the *hopeful sunshine all day with your best pals, what's not to love? (Probs going to end my post there TBF, not sure you need another reason to go!).

2.) Festival dressing - ahhhh festival dressing! It's time to hit those Pinterest boards hard in search of some festival #OOTD inspo! I always think that less = more when it comes to festival outfits! I'm a huge fan of laid back, I-just-threw-this-together styling rather than headbands, metallic tattoos and bun bags, but hey, whatever floats your boat, I know you'll rock it gurlllll!

3.) Good ol' English weather, if you're heading to a festival in the UK, the weather will no doubt change 3,487632075627249 in one weekend so pack your wellies, your sun hat, your mac, sandals and sun cream because ALL OF THE OUTFIT CHANGES!

4.) I'm a big fan of UK festivals and think they always put on awesome line ups! Personally I'm super excited for Latitude festival this weekend and Reading next month! I've been to reading for the last two years and it's hands down my favourite UK festival!

5.) It's not all about the music, festivals are expanding to much and catering for everyone these days so expect to find comedy tents, great food stands, dance tents and creative activities. Find a festival to suit you and I promise you'll have the best time!

6.) Get a good group of pals together and you'll have an ace weekend, I always think that the people who you're with always make the trip so gather up your best ones, load the car with beers and you're in for a weekend of PURE BANTS! <3

7.) You'll make memories for life! I honestly have so, so many incredible festival memories that I'll cherish forever, from my first ever weekend camping at V Festival, to dancing in the rain to David Guetta at Creamfields, to dancing with my bestie at Reading to our favourites Modestep to spending last weekend in the sunshine with my love at BST - these are the kind of memories that make me smile on the regs, so buy a ticket, grab your loved ones and let me know where you're going PLZ so I can be jealous of your weekend!

awww I love your couple pictures! you are so flipping cute together! But I SUCK at festivals. Honestly I am such a lightweight. My friends all used to go the full weekend camping at T in the Park and I would stay home. I suck at camping, I suck at being wet and cold, I suck at seeing anything (at 5’2 i struggle to get any sort of view) and I am a terrible drinker, I just couldn’t drink all weekend lol, I would be the person phoning my mum a day in begging to come home! I want to like them, I want to go and enjoy it… ill maybe try a day one year, but of like tomorrowland or something… so its hot. lol
