If you're an avid reader of my blog or follow my social channels then you will have heard/seen my BFFL; Amy - lets face it, she's an ABSO BABE to say the least! It's her birthday on Tuesday and this year I wanted to do something special for her, I always love giving presents more than I've ever enjoyed receiving them (although a YSL bag wouldn't go amiss, LOLZ). So, this year I decided to surprise her with a trip to Barcelona, because she's amazing, she does so much for me and I adore her! She knows how much I love her and cherish our friendship, but sometimes in our life we get to those points where we're able to spread the love a little bit further and do something nice for those we love.
So a month ago I rustled up a plan to taker her away, I got her family in on the surprise who bought her Euros for her birthday and have helped me keep the surprise under wraps, our girlfriends chipped in and bought her a new hand luggage case so she's all good to go!
By the time you're reading this, let's face it I'll probably be looking, and feeling a little worse for wear from last night antics (heard the night like in Barca is BANGING... TBC on that guys I'll keep you updated!), but I'm writing this on Thursday, we leave tomorrow and she still has no idea what we're doing - I'm going to reveal her present this evening when she gets home from work and just pray that she doesn't freak the F out.
So, here's the thing - yesterday I had one of those days in London where I was dashing around here there and everywhere, I had so much stuff to carry including some bits that I was moving back home and a suitcase. I rushed to get off the train then that sinking feeling hit me as I realised I'd left my dads Fathers Day present and Amy's surprise on the train. I was so gutted. I had planned to tell her last night over a few vinos and was like SOZ I LEFT YOUR RESENT ON THE TRAIN BECAUSE I'M AN IDIOT.
I'd bought her a cute passport holder and had written her card inside to be like OMG WE GO TO BARCA ON FRIDAY, I'd filled a clutch bag with essentials that she would need like PJS, mini toiletries etc so that she'd be prepped and ready to go. I'm so disheartened that no-one handed it back in and has kept it for themselves, but hey ho that's life I guess.
Today I'm off to town to replace the bits that I lost and I'll be surprising her with her present. Sorry I went a little off-subject then guys, just wanted to vent about what an idiot I was/how some people have no morals and kept my best friends and Father Day present for themselves.
But, what I'm trying to say is, she means the world to me and I'm so grateful that I'm able to treat her to something like this! So, I think the weekend will mainly consist of sipping on Sangrias (lots of them), dancing the night away, and creating ALL OF THE MEMORIES <3 - I can't wait to share our trip with you when I'm back! Oh, and it's 27 degrees there rn, SOZ BOUT THAT. I know you'll forgive me because my stuff got stolen <3
Oh, and if you have any tips on Barcelona please send them our way as we still have the rest of today and tomorrow to explore!
