Last weekend I moved out of London and back to Essex (currently living with the boyf until the house is done and ready to move home - whoo!), I lived in London for nearly four months and absolutely loved it! I thought I'd round up my favourite things to do in London in case you're visitng or stuck for plans this weekend, from afternoon tea to browsing my favourite beauty stands; here are my top 5 things to do in London this weekend!...
Me and Ben were lucky enough to visit the Hyatt Regency the other weekend for the evening, whilst there we decided to pay a trip to the infamous Churchill Bar for some post dinner cocktails, I ordered the Singapore Sling (which was delish!), and Ben ordered The Bleneimh which was similar to a bloody mary but came served with a mini fry up (pretty much the only reason Ben ordered it to be honest!). The Narnia terrice will be there until the end of May - I highly recommend visiting, it was so beautiful and felt like we were sitting in a winter wonderland! I'm super excited to see how they decorate the terrace for summer too! If you're planning to visit on the weekend, I'd recommend reserving a table which you can do by calling; 020 7299 2035 or emailing; firstname.lastname@example.org - if you visit, please let me know which cocktail you ordered as they all sounded incredible!
Just a stones throw from the embankment; the Thai Square Spa has a great cental location and offers a wealth of spa treatments and packages from spa, to hair styling, to pedicures! If you're looking to take some time out to unwind and relax, I'd recommend this beautiful, authentic Thai spa. I've been to Thailand 3 times in the past four years and I've never visited anywhere in the UK that felt so authentic, it was genuinely like stepping into a time machine and heading back to Thailand! Whilst at the spa I experienced their Ritual Massage which uses essential oils blended from flower and fruit extracts which help to soften, soothe and balance the senses
If I have a few hours to kill in London, one of my favourite things to do is to wander the beauty counters, I'm always drawn to the YSL counter as I absolutely adore their lipsticks, the shades and pigments are second to none. They nail the red/orange that is always so popular for summer so well and I'm always there stocking up on my favourite items (I also love their fragrances too; the Manifesto and Black Opium are my all time favourites!).
If you're an avid blog follower or you follow me on social media, then you'll know that I absolutely adore the Langham London, it's hands down my favourite hotel in London. I love the decor, the service and food are always incredible too. Me and Ben were kindly invited to experience the Easter themed afternoon tea which was aboslutely delicious! I've been to the Langham for afternoon tea before Christmas with my mum and it was lovely! The afternoon tea sittings run at 1pm, 3.15pm or 5.30pm and prices start at £49 per person, or £59 per person with champagne. If I was looking for somewhere to treat a loved one or celebrate, the Palm Court would always be my go-to and an experience that I'd highly recommend!
I was recently introduced to Bamford products by a friend, I absolutely adore the spa-like scents so booked in for a facial and oh.my.god (I kid you not) it was the best facial I've ever had! Bamford have a counter on the 2nd floor at Fortnun & Masons (somewhere I wouldn't have neccisarily thought to look) but somewhere I'll forever be returning for a monthly facials! Facials are always a weird one I think as I always feel guilty treating myself to them, but I wouldn't think twice about spending £80 on a pair of shoes, and looking after our skin is way more important (although nice shoes are always a must!). So I've vowed to myself that once a month I will return to the most amazing therapist and take care of my skin from now on!
Have you got any plans this weekend? What do you love to do when you visit London? Anything on this list you'd love to try out?
