I’ve been after a small handbag for a while and spotted this Rebecca Minkoff gem
and instantly fell in love. I grew tired of carrying a big bag around London, I feel like the bigger my bag is I tend to fill it with stuff that I don’t need then it becomes a bit of a pain to carry around.
I wanted a nice cross body bag that I could fit my camera, phone, keys and purse in and this bag is the perfect size, it lets me fit everything I need but doesn’t allow room for me to pack items I don’t need. I adore the electric blue colour (most of my bags are black – I seem to gravitate towards black as everything in my wardrobe is dark) so it was a joy to have some colour in my life and what better way than this dreamy cobalt blue! The charcoal studs, chain and fastenings on this bag make it look super luxe!
I thought it was about time I did an up to date what’s in my bag as I’ve not done one since summer time, time to share my Rebecca Minkoff
handbag essentials with y’all…
First up is my phone (OBV
), being a blogger and social media addict it barely leaves my side! I picked up this epic ‘Not Your Basic Bitch’ phone case from Skinnydip London
a couple of months back, Skinny Dip do the most amazing phone cases, it only cost me £12 and leaves me feeling sassy AF! I picked up this cute gold glitter purse from New Look
the other day for £3.99, I spotted it at the till point and bought it as it’s perfect for travelling and short city breaks as the purse I use day to day is massive and not ideal when you’re limited on luggage or have a small handbag.
I got these sunglasses the other day from Debenhams
and really love the shape of them, even though it’s winter I always tend to keep a pair of shades in my bag as *sometimes
we tend to get really bright, crisp, cold days and I hate walking around squinting like a mole emerging from a hole in the ground so I keep them to hand. Since heading to Paris with Crabtree & Evelyn
last weekend, their mini hand creams have become a permanent fixture in my handbag and on my desk, my favourites are the Avocado
one which I keep in my bag and the Rosewater
one which I keep on my desk, they leave my hands feeling so soft and nourished, this small tube is perfect
for a bag this size!
When Bobbi Brown launched their Luxe Lips I was so excited to try them out and pretty much haven’t worn anything since (I’m going to blog about them in more depth soon as they’re just too dreamy!), but for now I’ll just harp on about how much I love them. I currently have the ‘Pink Nude’ shade in my bag, it’s a fresh, rose pink that’s great for everyday, the texture is super nourishing and is the kind of product you don’t need a mirror to apply. I always keep my Scentered Focus Therapy Balm within reach whether it’s in my bag or on my desk as I always find it helps me concentrate.
As I briefly touched on, this Rebecca Minkoff bag is from Brand Outlet, a website that offers top brands at a discounted rate (up to 70% off!), some of my favourite brands such as Diane Von Furstenburg and Helmut Lang are stocked on there. I’m also massively lusting after these Kat Maconie Boots which are just £89! If you’re looking to treat yourself to something special I’d definitely recommend checking out the Brand Outlet site to save some money!
What’s in your handbag this winter? Do you prefer smaller bags too?
