A Two Night Stay At The Tiara Miramar In the South Of France; First Impressions & Photo Diary

Last month I headed to the south of France to enjoy a two night stay at the Tiara Miramar hotel on the Cote D’azur, I blogged about the trip in general with my postcards from the South of France post! I wanted to touch on our stay at the hotel a little more as it was an absolute gem and we had such a wonderful few days, come and explore the hotel with me…

The room…

We were lucky enough to stay in the Sea view junior suite which had an incredible balcony, lounge area and Italian shower. The room decor was exquisite, with a chic yet relaxed vibe. We also received a tour of the hotel where we had a peek inside the Miramar Suite (which was absolutely insane FYI) and something I’d definitely recommend for a big family. The suite was huge and the above picture I snapped of the bathtub – which resembled a hot tub big enough for 6 people!

I felt so at home in our suites and loved the room, it wasn’t too big that it felt too spacious, the colour scheme was really warm and welcoming with a slight oriental feel. Oh, what I’d do to be back there sitting on my balcony watching the sea and reading my book, *sigh

The spa…

On our last day before we headed home, we spent some time relaxing in the Tiara Spa, the decor felt really luxurious and I felt instantly relaxed as I entered! The spa is spread out over two floors, stocks heavenly Sothys spa products and also has a sauna, steam room and relaxation room for guests to enjoy.

We all enjoyed an hour long oriental massage before heading back to the airport to catch our flight with Monarch. My treatment was one of the dreamiest massages I’ve ever had, the pressure was perfect and I felt like the masseuse knew where all my knots and tension was and she worked them out which felt so good! Afterwards me and Roshina, took a tour of the grounds in our robes and slippers which was so comfy!

We dined at the Bistro M the evening we arrived at the hotel and enjoyed a delicious 3 course meal washed down with some red wine, the scallops were divine and there was a lovely relaxed atmosphere in the restaurant. We ate breakfast in the restaurant and also enjoyed lunch there one day, the restaurant was of an amazing standard and the food second to none.

During the warmer months the hotel opens their Moya restaurant, overlooking the sea this is where guests will enjoy a more relaxed vibe and a buffet style dining experience. I’d love to head back in the warmer months and experience this hotel as it was such a beautiful setting – I can imagine how pretty it would look of an evening!

The grounds & swimming pool…

On the last day I did some exploring of the hotel and took some snaps, the swimming pool looked so serene and peaceful (we didn’t go in as it was freezing!). The grounds of the hotel were stunning and it felt like every corner you turned you discovered something new and picturesque! I’d love to return to the hotel in the summer to fully appreciate the views and experience the outdoor dining and pool!

If you’re looking to stay at the Tiara Miramar hotel which I strongly suggest you do (you can get a return flight to Nice with Monarch for under £100!). Monarch operates flights to Nice from Birmingham and London Gatwick, with fares including taxes starting from £98! Visit
www.monarch.co.uk to check out their latest deals! This hotel is great as it’s open all year round so even in the colder months if you’re looking for some downtime then this is the place to escape to as you can enjoy the spa, hire a car and head into Cannes for the day – which is only 6 miles away or the hotel hosts various activities such as hiking, bike riding or hiring road buggies, which we did for the day and it was the funnest thing ever!!

To book at the Tiara Miramar hotel, nightly rates start from €160/£113 based on two people sharing a double room on a B&B basis, if you’re looking for a more intimate hotel then nightly rates for the sister hotel Tiara Yaktsu start from €190/£134 based on two people sharing a double room on a B&B basis! I couldn’t recommend this hotel anymore and think it’s the perfect getaway come summer or winter!

Have you been to the south of France before? Would you consider visiting?

Oh dear god. I need a mini break NOW! It's like what you would imagine 50's starlets heading to, and of course Victoria Secret models.
