Empower Hour – How To Make The Most Of Your Extra Hour With Dove Body Wash

So, as you know the clocks went back last night so we gain an extra hour today, wohooo (and if you didn’t know then make sure you don’t go into work the wrong time Monday – we’ve all been there!). Gaining an extra hour is always a great bonus on a Sunday, the question is how will you spend your extra hour? Sleeping? Reading a good book? Enjoying some pamper time?
Sundays are always my favourite day for relaxation and a little ‘me time’, it’s such a nice feeling to spend some time on yourself so when Monday morning rolls around you wake up feeling refreshed and ready to take on the world (after 3 strong coffees, perhaps!). My Sunday evening pamper routines usually consist of a nice green tea or hot drink, a good book – currently reading #GIRLBOSS and feeling like I can take on the world, painting my nails, burning my favourite candle, popping on a face mask and tanning if I feel like I’m looking a little pasty (currently the situation!).
Sometimes moisturising can be seen as a chore to some people as it can take a while, I’ve put together a few tips below on how to cut down your time when it comes to your beauty regime and moisturising to save you time, giving you longer to enjoy some downtime reading or catch up on your favourite TV series! My top moisturising tips;
10 minutes: Put on moisturise when your skin is still damp. That way, the moisturiser helps retain the moisture still on your skin. Let it soak in for a few minutes, and then towel off the excess.
10 minutes: Exfoliation gently removes dry skin cells from the surface, allowing moisturisers to function effectively. Try the Dove Gentle Exfoliating Body Wash which exfoliates and moisturises in one, cutting your application time in half! Dove Body wash gives softer, beautifully smooth skin after just one shower so you’ll start to see results straight away – priced at just £2.55 this body wash is great value for money with it’s two in one formula!
5 minutes: Before getting into the shower take 5 minutes to vigorously sweep a body brush up the arms, legs and back towards the heart. This stimulates lymphatic circulation, which helps you to eliminate toxins effectively and feel energized for the day.
2 minutes: If you’re looking for a quick fix when it comes to moisturising pop your favourite moisturiser into a spray bottle for a quicker and more efficient application, spray it and rub it in or spray from a distance for a finer mist and allow it to settle into your skin.

Giveaway: Dove has been kind enough to offer my readers a chance to win a years supply of Dove Gentle Exfoliating Body Wash, the formula is design to smooth away dull skin, dry skin as the days get shorter – the exfoliating and moisturising kills two birds with one stone and saves us girls time on having to use two separate products, and I’m all about time saving products when it comes to a beauty regime!

    I am literally in love with Dove stuff, so I'm with you on that! My best moisturizing tip is to exfoliate and use a pre-moisturiser in the shower for a first layer. Then when out, put on some loose cotton trousers and socks to let the post shower moisturiser sink in!

    Perfect for dry winter skin!

    Dove is always my first choice when it comes to moisturiser. My tip is when you have really dry skin on your hands in the winter put a thick layer of cream on and then wear some cotton gloves and let the moisturiser sink in and do its work. Whenever I do this my skin is so much better.
