The Big Reveal – #SneakerStylingSessions Part 1 With Nike & John Lewis

 What I’m Wearing: Jumper: Reiss at John Lewis | Skirt: Somerset by Alice Temperley at John Lewis | Trainers: Nike Air Max 90 “Paris” | Watch: Daniel Wellington | Bag: Mulberry

What Yani is wearing: Top: Warehouse at John Lewis | Skirt: Karen Millen | Trainers: Nike Air Max 90 “London” | Watch: Larsson & Jennings | Bag: Mulberry

The past few weeks I’ve been working on a super exciting project with my girl Yani from and today we can finally reveal our plan for world domination (etc etc).
So, a little background on how it all started…
Around a year ago I met Yani at a French Connection bloggers breakfast and we have stayed in touch ever sine, Yani write a ‘sneaker blog’ over at which FYI y’all need to check out! I absolutely love the idea of a trainer blog as I love wearing trainers and you’ll often find me wearing my high tops to London on a weekly basis!
As much as I love wearing trainers, I own 5 pairs and one pair are my gym trainers – true story. When Yani told me she owned over 250 pairs I couldn’t quite believe it! We were completely in awe of each other as Yani was giving it all ‘I wish I could style clothes like you could’ and there was me all ‘I want to wear trainers more!’, so a project was born…
Me and Yani met for a coffee and decided to join forces – once a month we’re going to be collaborating on a feature called Sneaker Styling Sessions where we work with our favourite fashion brands.
The idea is, I style our outfits and Yani picks our kicks – we’ll be combining our knowledge of fashion and trainers to bring you a new styling feature every month. We noticed that there are so many girls like me who love trainers but are quite girly so don’t necessarily know how to style them and there are girls like Yani who love fashion but who are scared to step out of their comfort zone.
To kick off our first feature we’ve partnered with high street giants John Lewis and sneaker gods Nike which is super exciting – we’ve already had some amazing feedback on our collaboration which is super exciting – I think we’re tapping into a market that needs to be addressed! We’re going to be doing monthly features focusing on seasonal trends such as dressing for Winter, your Christmas party and even how to wear sneakers to special occasions and weddings so there’s so much more to come from us.
We shot our first feature during this seasons London Fashion Week with the beautiful and ever so talented photographer; Amber Rose – me and Yani are so, so thrilled with how the snaps turned out – she’s a clever pickle that Amber!
For our outfits I picked a mink Reiss jumper for myself and paired it with a Somerset by Alice Temperley rose tulle skirt (which I bladdddddy love!) and for Yani I picked a stunning textured Karen Millen A-Line skirt and a roll neck jumper from Warehouse. Trainer wise we selected some kicks from the new Nike Air Max 90’s from their new Sweet Schemes City Pack – mine were the “Paris” trainers inspired by Macaroons (my favourite city and dessert so the perfect fit!) and Yani wore the “London” pair inspired by Eaton Mess.
I have to admit at first I was a little OMG I’M WEARING PURPLE TRAINERS but I can honestly say I love, love, LOVE them now and I can’t see myself wearing anything else for a while! I’m actually off to Paris in November so naturally they will be coming with me for a shoot!
I’m super excited to share next months collaboration with you guys, in the meantime you can follow myself and Yani on Instagram to keep up with our latest collaborations and behind the scene shots until our next feature is revealed! Our aim is to get girls across the world wearing sneakers more and learning how to style them rather than shying away from wearing them because they’re scared of how to wear them – I’m so excited to take you on this journey with us and would love to hear any feedback you have or any particular brands/trainers you’d love us to style up then let either of us know!

!function(d,s,id){var e, p = /^http:/.test(d.location) ? ‘http’ : ‘https’;if(!d.getElementById(id)) {e = d.createElement(s); = id;e.src = p + ‘://’ + ‘’ + ‘/js/shopthepost.js’;d.body.appendChild(e);}if(typeof window.__stp === ‘object’) if(d.readyState === ‘complete’) {window.__stp.init();}}(document, ‘script’, ‘shopthepost-script’);
