#TIPSTUESDAY: BLOGGER CHECKLIST – 10 THINGS ALL BLOGGERS NEED

Sorry I’ve been a little MIA lately – I’ve had a few personal issues (which I blogged about here) but I feel ready to get back to blogging now. I have so many ideas for content which is great to take my mind off things and get back into the swing of everything! I thought I’d come back with a #TipsTuesday post from my series and today I’m talking about the ‘blogger checklist’ – this isn’t something to live by but just things I wish I knew when I’d started out blogging to make life easier in the long run, ya know?! Hope you find this helpful!…

1.) Business cards – great for networking and self promotion

2.) A clean blog design – make sure it’s easy to navigate and nice to look at

3.) A diary – to keep on top of blog posts, events and meetings!

4.) Good social engagement – make sure you post often on your social channels and engage with your followers.

5.) A weekly desk planner – to help plan your schedule ahead and keep on top of posts

6.) A voice – know when it’s okay to say no, and when to accept opportunities or products

7.) A decent camera – you don’t need tonne of equipment for a blog but just one decent camera that you can shoot everything from outfit pictures to product close ups on. 

8.) A schedule – create a schedule that you can stick to and find inspiring (not too grueling!)

9.) Organisation – to stay on top of planning, emails and scheduling content

10.) Passion – the most important factor, it’s such a shame to see people starting blogs for ‘free stuff’ all the time, you need to have a genuine passion for what you’re blogging about and that will shine through to your readers and pave a way for a successful blog.

    Thank you for this post Hayley – I found it so so helpful! I'm definitely going to make some business cards for when I attend some up coming events I have this year! I'm currently making a media kit which I hope will help me out a bit!

    I have a little checklist that I make sure I look at before I hit "publish" for each post. Otherwise I'm always remembering whoops! I forgot this and this before I sent it out in the blogging world. Do you really use business cards for your blog? I haven't heard of this idea and was just wondering what kinds of settings you use them in. Thanks for the great list!

    Having a diary is definitely helpful in the blogging department! I don't have business cards for my blog yet but I've looked in to it seems like a great way to network and put yourself out there 🙂 xxx
