This weeks #TipsTuesday post is more of a peek inside my blogging essentials rather than blogging tips as such, but I thought I’d share it all the same. I’m super nosey and love reading posts on what other cameras and equipment other bloggers use so I thought I’d put together one for what I use! When I started blogging 3 years ago I bought myself a standard point and shoot camera but around a year later when I started to really get into my blog I upgraded my camera to a Canon 600D and I haven’t looked back since! The rest of my kit I’ve grown over the last two years and added to it as I went along!

Sony A6000 Compact Camera: This camera isn’t in the above shot as it’s what I shot this picture on! It’s the latest addition to my blogging essentials and I absolutely adore this camera – I was looking for a compact camera for a while as they are so handy to take to London with me for events and shoots rather than carrying my SLR around all the time. I was honestly stunned at the picture quality – it’s incredible, you can see my latest posts on Portugal here and here which I shot on this camera!

Cannon 40mm Lens: The other week I headed to London to shoot some outfit posts with some blogger pals and the beautiful Meg shot my latest outfit post using her Canon 40mm lens and I was in love! The images came out so great that I decided to save up and treat myself, the lens cost me £126 which I didn’t think was too bad price wise considering some lenses can cost thousands and the quality is perfect for what I need when it comes to shooting outfit posts.

iPad: I bought my iPad around three years ago for my birthday whilst I was still at uni, I wouldn’t say it’s an absolute essentials but I love using it for Pinterest of an evening when I’m in bed! Hot cup of fruit tea, snuggle pjs and pinning on a Sunday evening is where my iPad comes in (oh and watching hours of YouTube videos when I’m procrastinating!).

Canon 600D EOS Digital SLR: As I briefly mentioned above this was my first ‘proper’ camera, I bought it on Very for around £400 and just paid the monthly payments as I didn’t want to fork out the £400 in one go at the time. I absolutely love this camera and I would say it’s the perfect blogging camera! I take all of my blog pictures on this including my outfit snaps (up until the last few where I’ve been trialling my new lens and camera) and it’s always been perfect for what I need!

Macbook Pro: I saved up and bought my Macbook Pro once I’d graduated uni as my desktop died on me a few months before the end of my third year (which was all the fun I can assure you!) – I started doing some freelance work and blogging more so I decided to invest in a Macbook Pro and it was the best thing I’ve ever bought! I also purchased the Adobe creative suite so I can use Photoshop and all that jazz which really helps with blogging and editing pictures!

DSLR Memory Card: Ahhhhh, memory cards – a bloggers best friend! I have about 4/5 and keep them by my desk (or in my handbag – they seem to turn up anywhere!). It’s always handy to have a new memory card to hand so you aren’t trying to capture that crucial shot when your memory decides that it’s full. I tend to pop into Currys and pick up a couple more as they usually have deals on or order them online to get a good deal as it’s always worth stocking up!

iPhone 6: Last week I upgraded my phone to the iPhone 6 and I’m. In. Love!! I couldn’t wait to get my hands on the new iPhone as I always steal Josie’s to take snaps and the camera quality is amazing! I’ve been snap happy since I got it and am so happy I upgraded, the quality has made all the difference to my pictures – expect to see lots more pictures on my Instagram from now on!

I love my 50mm and camera of course, and I cannot live without my DSLR but I've been looking for something more compact to take to events so will pop the Sony one on my list!

I agree an iPad is such a great essential and one of my main ones I use. I'm trying to save up for a MacBook Pro myself and A new compact camera.

Lovely post!! I recently invested in a DSLR after using my iPhone for a year to shoot pictures and I think it's so worth it!! The pictures look much better and more professional! And I'm so jealous you got the iPhone 6!! I've had my eye on it ever since it came out, it's so pretty! xx

Good shout on the memory cards, I need to get some more! My next purchase is a tripod for my DSLR, I have heard so many people say the difference is huge when you get rid of hand shake! Even small hand shake – a little stumped by all the choices at the moment. Have you got one? Any recommendations?

Definitely bookmarking this as I love your photography. I kind of ant to invest in the Canon as so many people with amazing photos use it but I feel like I'd never know which lenses to use when! xx
