SPRING FRAGRANCE PICKS

As the weathers getting warmer (well some days) I decided it was time for a little fragrance shake up, I opted to switch to some lighter, fresh scents for summer and here are my top picks…

DKNY Summer: Firstly, I love this pink and orange ombre bottle – it screams summer and looks great on my perfume stand! The scent is described as ‘energising, wild and sexy’, it contains Sweet Orange, Lily, Vanilla and Grapefruit so it’s a really fresh, sweet fragrance which is perfect for the change in weather. It’s exclusive to Superdrug and is only £40 for a 100ml bottle which I think is great value!

Gucci Flora: There are a few variations of the Gucci Flora perfume but this one is a favourite of mine, with top notes of Mandarin Orange and peony, heart notes of Rose and base notes of Pink Pepper and Sandalwood this is pretty much my dream summer fragrance in a bottle! It’s a really floral, feminine scent but the Pink Pepper and Sandalwood make it a really sensual scent.

Jo Malone Sakura Cherry Blossom Cologne: Sakura Cherry Blossom is one of the newest launches from Jo Malone and it captures the airiness of Spring so perfectly! The fragrance is made up of layer of Cherry Blossom, with sheer notes of Rose and Bergamot – this bottle couldn’t look any prettier too, the pink bow is a lovely touch and it’s definitely one to add to the Spring collection!

Chloe Love Story: I love the store behind this fragrance as it’s inspired by a Parisian romance which I think is really sweet, the bottle is designed to represent the padlocks left on Love Lock Bridge – how cute?! The top notes consist of Orange Blossom and white floral accords, heart notes of Madagascan Jasmine and Neroli and a base note of Cedar Wood and Musk. Possibly one of my favourite Spring scents and a real game changer!

Philosophy Fresh Cream: I love the Philosophy fragrances, I have their ‘Amazing Grace’ scent which is lovely but this ‘Fresh Cream’ is perfect for Spring time in my eyes! It’s a really lovely light, sweet smelling fragrance which is great for everyday use – it’s not too heavy and the bottle is perfect to pop in your handbag or gym kit as it’s 60ml it’s not too large!
Lancome La Vie Est Belle: I adore this fragrance – it’s probably an all time favourite of mine, the bottle is so feminine and beautiful and the scent is even more delicious! Packed with heart notes of Iris, Orange Blossoms and Jasmine, top notes of Blackcurrant and Pear and base notes of Praline, Vanilla and Patchouli – this is the perfect fresh, floral scent for me!
