Since it’s started getting warmer I’ve been really switching up my beauty regime and products and thought I’d share my Spring beauty go-to’s! At the first sign of warmer weather the first thing I update is my fragrance, lately I’ve been loving the limited edition Jo Malone Sakura Cherry Blossom Cologne which is a stunning scent, light, fresh and girly – the packaging is just the dream too! Another big change is also tan as we always need to be prepared to whip our pins out at 24hours notice, I’m putting together a post on my tanning routine so stay tuned for that one. However, for my face I prefer to use specific face tanning products and my favourite is the Vita Liberata Self Tanning Night Moisture Mask – it’s so easy to use, pop it on overnight and wake up with a glow. It doesn’t smell of biscuits or streak either, result!
I decided to update my makeup bag for Spring too (that’s probably a bit anal but oh wells!) – I’ve chosen this beautiful Ted Baker Makeup Bag via ASOS Beauty as I’m having a bit of a think for pink right now and this one was too cute, it’s also really spacious (hurrah!) so it will be great for holidays too! I tend to switch to a lighter skincare routine and am loving this Antipodes Rejoice Light Facial Day Cream – I went to an event with the brand last weekend and am so excited to try more of their products. I’ve been trialling this cream for the past few days and love it, it’s light but still hydrating and is also a great base for my makeup!
Makeup brushes I’ve been loving lately (not really specific to Spring I know, but it’s always nice to rotate them and try new ones) are the Bobbi Brown Full Coverage Face Brush (uh-MAZING!), Eco Tools Mattifying Finish Brush – wonderful for powder/bronzer and the Real Techniques Bold Metals Brush – I have spoken of my love for these beautiful brushes many times! Now y’all know I’m a huge fan of the Clinique chubby sticks, anything to save time is always a winner in my books and lately I’ve been loving the Kiko Modern Tribes Lips & Cheek Blush Pencil, a beautiful shade which is doubles up for lips and cheeks so a perfect one for your bag!
I’m really diggin’ a nude/mauve lip lately and the Bobbi Brown Pale Mauve Lip Pencil is really ticking every box for me right now, I usually wear this all over my lips with the Models Own HyperLips Premiere Plum Lipgloss over the top as they make a lovely duo! I recently spoke about how much I love the Benefit Roller Lash via ASOS Beauty in my everyday makeup staples post – it honestly is a new favourite that I just will forever re-purchase as I adore it and I’m yet to find a mascara that does the job better!
For my nails my go-to primer always has to be the butter LONDON Nail Foundation – it’s the most amazing nail product and I swear by this stuff. Apply it before your polish and it evens out any ridges and preps your nails for colour application – genius! My favourite polishes for Spring have to be the Sally Hansen Miracle Gel ones, they come in so many colours and are super long lasting! You don’t need to cure them or a LED lamp, you just apply the gel formula topcoat for gel effect nails et voila, beautiful nails for Spring! My favourite shades have to be ‘Birthday Suit’ and ‘Creme de la Creme’ both pictured above.
