Makeup bag: *The Good Times Homestore

Last week I did a ‘What’s in my handbag’ post so I thought it was about time I showed you all the contents of my everyday makeup bag. For work I opt for a minimal look, and rarely vary it too much as I’ve got my routine down to a T (I’m definitely a 5 more minutes in bed kinda gal too) so I don’t like to experiment too much in case it goes wrong then I don’t have time to re-do it. Occasionally I’ll attempt some eyeliner or whack on some bright lippy if I’m feeling daring but here are my everyday go-to’s!

Working in London really doesn’t agree with my skin (or hair for that matter) so I always opt for a good base, my favourite is the Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer as it keeps my makeup in place all day and feels lovely on my skin too. I’ve also recently been trialling the new Clarins Instant Light Radiance Boosting Complexion Base in ‘Apricot’ which is one of their new shades launching soon, I’ve always adored this product and love this shade if I’ve been tanning as it’s a beautiful glowy base for my foundation. For my foundation, recently I’ve been loving the new Elizabeth Arden Flawless Finish Perfectly Satin 24hr Foundation as it really is a fantastic long lasting foundation and it keeps my face oil free all day which I love – it also offers great coverage too!

For a concealer I use either the SEVENTEEN Phwoarr Paint or the MAC Pro Longwear Concealer as they are both heavy duty and great long lasting concealers for covering blemishes. Under my eyes I use the Delilah Fade Away Future Resist Concealer as I find it’s great for darkness and it’s not too thick so it doesn’t crease under the eyes. One of my favourite loose powders to use is the Liz Earle Natural Finish Loose Powder (although it can get a little messy) I press this onto my foundation once applied and it leaves my face shine free for the day which is perfect for work days.

I never used to contour or highlight during week days – only ever on a weekend if I was going out out y’know?! Lately, I’ve been addicted to the Clinique Chubby Stick Sculpting Contour and *Clinique Chubby Stick Sculpting Highlighter as they are honestly fool proof and so quick an easy to use! I just draw them onto the area I need to contour, blend it with my Zoeva Face Shape Brush (which is perfect for contouring!) then I’ll add my highlighter and I’m good to go! I genuinely couldn’t imagine not having these products in my everyday makeup bag now! My current go-to blusher is the Clinique Cheek Pop in ‘Berry Pop’ it’s a beautiful pink that I love for this time of year – so pretty!

I tend to keep my eyes fairly plain but lately I’ve been loving sweeping a dusting of the Bobbi Brown Sparkly Eyeshadow in ‘Golden Peach’ over my lids as it’s just so beautiful! It can be quite subtle on it’s own but adds a little oomph to my otherwise plain makeup look. For brows I’m currently using the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Powder Duo which my best friend bought me for Christmas – it’s great to build up with a tiny brush and it looks super natural too. The only mascara I seem to use lately is the Benefit Roller Lash as I love it so much! I got this sample with ELLE a while back and it’s still going strong! I need to pick a full size when I’m next in store as it’s honestly amazing!

For lips I tend to use a balm or gloss for work as lipsticks can be a pain topping up etc throughout the day, my go-to one that always seems to float between my makeup bag and handbag is the Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector in ‘Rosewood Shimmer’ it’s a lovely nude/pink/brown kind of shade and it smells incredible too! I tend to vary which brushes I use but mainly I rotate between my trusty Real Technique Bold Metals brushes and Zoeva brushes which I also adore!

What products do you use daily? Anything I need to add to my everyday makeup bag?

I'm also like you, I tend to stick to the same products over again because it's what I'm used to and I hesitate on experimenting. All your everyday makeup products look and sound lovely and surprisingly (excluding roller lash) I haven't tried any of what you mentioned! A few are now on my list! x

Definitely, I always stick to the same makeup for a quick, daily routine and experiment on my days off/weekends! Ah you'll have to give some a go! 🙂 x

So many beautiful products! I'm yet to try the majority of these but they all sound fabulous and my wishlist just got 10x longer! I'm definitely intrigued by the Clinique Chubby Contour & Highlight sticks, and their blushes. I think I'll definitely have to check them out come payday! Your photography here is stunning by the way!
