BANK HOLIDAY BAKING: SLUTTY BROWNIES

Last weekend saw a very hungover Sunday consisting of a Game of Thrones marathon and some non-baking baking i.e these delicious slutty brownies. I was browsing the internet looking for something to bake when I came across The Londoner’s Slutty Brownies and I just knew that I had to try them. I’ll admit I’m no baking goddess when it comes to the kitchen so I thought I’d give these a whirl (baby steps!) – so if you aren’t a whizz like me then these are perfect for you to try this bank holiday!

What you’ll need:
1x Eggs
2x Packs of Oreos
1x Brownie mix (I used chocolate fudge cake mix and it worked just as well
2x Chocolate chip cookie mix (I picked up 2 as this bag only made 8 cookies)
1x Nutella (optional)

Follow the instructions on your cookie dough mix but all we had to do here was mix in some water with our two packs of cookie dough until it was of the consistency below.
Once your cookie dough is ready, layer it onto your baking tray (make sure you add grease proof paper to your tray so the brownies don’t get stuck), we used a wooden spoon to flatten the dough.

Then place a layer of Oreo’s (we used one and a half packs to line our brownies but use as many or little as needed).
Now you need to mix your brownie mix together (we used chocolate fudge cake mix as all the brownie mix had sold out but it worked equally as well). Again you just have to mix in water and whisk it but each pack may vary so just follow the guidelines. We also added a big scoop of Nutella to make our brownies even sluttier! Once the mixture has been whisked, evenly pour it on top of the Oreo layer.

We placed our brownies in the oven (180 degrees) for half an hour, the brownie mix wasn’t quite set so we popped in for another ten minutes and then voila, slutty brownies at the ready!

They tasted so good Rob actually ate three pieces in one evening and has been asking when I’ll be making more! If you’re looking for a quick, fuss free recipe with a delicious outcome then these slutty brownies are definitely for you! I’m going to attempt Nutella filled cookies next so hopefully I’ll be blogging about those too if they turn out edible!

Have you tried making slutty brownies before? Will you be attempting these?
