A few weeks back I blogged about 5 things to do in London over bank holiday weekend which went down well, as I spend a lot of time in London on my days off and in the evenings, trying out new restaurants, checking out the latest beauty launches and what not I thought I’d put together another five recommendations for this weekend (or any that weekend for that matter!)…
1.) Visit a Bobbi Brown counter: I know, I know, I’ve said it before but Bobbi Brown really is my favourite high end beauty brand! Whenever I have a spare half hour to kill I always find myself browsing the Bobbi Brown counter taking a look at all the new launches and shades, swatting and chatting with the counter staff – who are always rididuclously lovely and will always demonstrate any looks you’d like to try out just ask them! I usually head to the Selfridges or Liberty counter but they have 28 store in London (yipee!) – check out your closest one here.
2.) Dinner at The Woodstock: Last week I went for dinner at The Woodstock with Josie, Sabrina and Vicky and it was so delicious! It’s a Japenese bar just off of Oxford Street (and I mean literally! It’s pretty much opposite Debenhams) so the location is spot on! We were greeted with amazing cocktails which had edible flowers, a really nice touch! As an appetiser we had Calamari with chilli dip and for mains I had King Prawns and Pork belly skewers with sticky rice which was so yummy. The idea is to order small taster dishes but we were all surprised at how filling the meal was! It was also great value so definitely worth checking out if you’re shopping in the area!
3.) Shopping at The Royal Exchange: Around Mother’s Day me and Josie spent the afternoon shopping at The Royal Exchange (I blogged about the experience here) and we had such a lovely day – they have lots of luxury stores and it’s a lot less stressful than shopping at somewhere like Westfield which can get a tad manic on the weekends. We headed to our favourites stores such as Kiehls, Jo Malone, Links of London and Lulu Guinness followed by a pit stop at Ladaree which is conveniently opposite, so it makes a lovely day out!
4.) Eat at Byron Burgers: I’ve been to Byron Burger many times in London and I took my best friend the other month for her first visit and she loved it! We ordered Oreo milkshakes and cheese & bacon burgers with courgette fries and onion rings *cue mad dash to the gym the next day haha! There are so many locations in London (find your closest here) – definitely make sure you check Byron out if you haven’t already been, it’s great for a cheap meal on the go! Let me know what you think!
5.) A girls night in with Betway Bingo: If you don’t live in London or fancy a night in instead my favourite suggestion is always a girls night! Have a couple of your girlfriends over, order a takeaway (or cook some nice food if you’re trying to save/eat healthier!) and catch up on some films and gossip over wine! Another great idea for a girls night is round up your generations and have a night in with them, this weekend I’m having my nan over as it was her birthday this week, along with my mum and I’m going to do us all some tapas and Sangria for a little Spanish evening, my nan is a huge bingo fan (and has been since I can remember) so I’m going to introduce her to the world of online bingo (bless her she barely understands how my laptop turns on so it should be fun!), with Betway Bingo, you put down a deposit of £10 and get £30 free to play with – that should keep her quiet for sometime!
What are your plans this weekend? Let me know if you have any must-do’s in London!
