CITY BREAK TRAVEL ESSENTIALS

Earlier this week me and Rob headed to Paris for two nights and we had the most amazing time, I bought him tickets to see Royal Blood as one of his Christmas presents so we watched them at the Olympia on Tuesday night and they were insane – best gig ever! Whilst packing I thought I’d put together a post on my top travel essentials for a city break as it’s always so hard to whittle now what you ‘need’ and what you ‘want’ to take – damn those small suitcases!

The first thing I packed was my Butterfly Twist ‘Sienna’ pumps as a.) they are rose gold (no brainer there!) and b.) they fold up so you can pack them in your handbag for when your feet are about to drop off from walking around a city all day… SO genius! I know fold up shoes have been done before but the range of the Butterfly Twist site is amazing and the shoes are beautiful! I also popped in my new Le Specs sunglasses for a chance of sunshine and we were so lucky as it was 20 degrees on the Tuesday! It was so lovely to stroll around in the sunshine in just a t-shirt, hurry up Summer! To travel in style I opted for my Aspinal of London passport cover which I got at The Apartment during LFW and love it so much, it’s such great quality and I adore the rain drop print!

I packed my Daniel Wellington ‘Classic Sheffield’ watch – for those times when your phone battery dies because you’ve been taking too many touristy snaps *not guilty. I love the gold details on this watch too as it’s such a lovely design and went well with the gold jewellery I took with me. For fragrance I opted for the new Stella McCartney ‘Stella’ as it’s only a 30ml bottle which is great for travelling and you can even pop it in your bag to freshen up throughout the day. This scent is going to be my go-to for Spring as it’s so fresh and beautiful – I haven’t stopped wearing it lately.

In terms of beauty I packed my Body Shop Vitamin E Overnight Serum as this serum really helps to hydrate my skin after a long day and is my go-to travel companion! I also packed some mini Kiehls products as they were a great size to pack in my case – I took the Ultra Facial Cleanser and Toner as well as the Creme De Corps Nourishing Cream. I packed my new Real Techniques Bold Metals Brushes as they are just so beautiful and I couldn’t wait to use them. Lastly, I took my trusty Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment in ‘Honey’ which I carry around everywhere to keep my lips nourished.

What are your city break travel essentials?

One thing I can't live without when I'm travelling is hand sanitiser hahaha!
By the way where is that gorgeous marble tray from? Looks so lovely in a flatlay!
