5 REASONS TO SHOP AT THE ROYAL EXCHANGE THIS MOTHER’S DAY

With just over a week to go until Mother’s Day I thought it was about time I hunted out the best places to shop for gifts, along the way I found the place to go. The Royal Exchange is based just a stones throw from Bank station (which is perfect for me as I get the train into Fenchurch Street and pass it everyday for work – it’s also super easy to get to as the central and northern line run to Bank). Earlier this week I took a trip to The Royal Exchange to photograph my favourite Mother’s Day picks and thought I’d put together my top 5 reasons on why it’s the place to shop…

1.) The Royal Exchange houses over 30 luxury brands under one roof in the heart of the city, it’s a great place to spend a few hours browsing beautiful stores such as Hermes, Jo Malone, Agent Provocateur, Smythson, Links of London and so many more. Plus if you feel peckish after all that shopping they have two restaurants in store too, one fine dining which is perfect for a delicious evening meal or a cafe in the centre of the building which is perfect for grabbing lunch mid-shop!

2.) The Penhaligon’s store is full of beautiful fragrances, candles and gifts that would make perfect Mother’s Day present. Their newest fragrance release Ostara is a lovely scent for Spring, with head notes of Juniper, Clementine and Bergamot it’s a really lovely fresh fragrance that any Mother is bound to love! (mine included). If you pop into the store, make sure you look up at the light as it’s made up of beautiful ribbons and mini Penhaligon’s bottles – so cute!

3.) The next shop I checked out was the beautiful Links of London store, I was a huge fan of the brand when I was younger and haven’t shopped in there too much since. I have to say I was taken aback by how stunning the collection was – judging by the pictures you can see how drawn I was to the rose gold pieces, the Star Dust collection was a particular favourite of mine along with the Bee charm and the rose gold watch. I know that my mum would adore the jewellery so I know where I’ll be heading to pick up a gift (they always come so beautifully packaged too and they offer a gift wrapping service which is great!).

4.) Next up was a stop to Kiehls (which is the most incredible store, you need to check it out!) who had some lovely gift boxes which can be personalised to your mum favourite picks. The staff were so helpful so just pop in and explain what your mum has tried/loved or even if she’s never used anything from Kiehls before then just give them her skin type and they can pick out some products! Some of their newest releases and best sellers include the Midnight Recovery Concerntrate and their Rosa Artica range so be sure to check those out as they’ll be a sure fire favourite with the mums!

5.) My last stop of the day was a visit to the Molton Brown store which was beautiful in itself, a definite must visit! I was immediately drawn to the display for their new range; the Blossoming Honeysuckle & White Tea collection – packaging in lovely cream and lilac bottles with bows to add a feminine touch, this range really caught my eye (and it smelt beautiful too!). I think my mum would particularly love the Hand Cream and also the Bath & Shower Gel, they offer some lovely gift sets which would be a great present too as you can try more from the range and it’s beautifully presented.
P.s if those 5 reasons weren’t enough for you to visit The Royal Exchange then I had to add that there’s a Laduree store after which makes the perfect post-shopping treat! (You deserve it after all that shopping right? At least that was my excuse on Thursday!).
Have you been to The Royal Exchange? Did you spot anything in this post your mum would love?
