A NEW DO

HARE & BONE, 69 Great Titchfield Street, London W1W 7PU

Just before Christmas (and after spending way to much time on Pinterest looking at hair styles) I opted for a new do, I just felt like it was time for a change y’know?! I used to have a fringe when I was at school and I always think it’s a nice ‘Winter’ style (if that’s such a thing?) so I decided to get a full fringe cut back in and go for a shorter, choppy long bob.

I had about 3/4 inches cut off so it was quit a shock to the system at first – as was getting used to a fringe, it’s such hard work when you haven’t had one for ages! Having to wash it and blow dry it every morning otherwise it looks like you’ve had a fight with a plug socket… hot!

I had my hair done at a salon called *HARE & BONE which is based not far from Oxford Street, I was really nervous when I arrived as I always am when I have a fair bit cut off or a colour change (I had both) – the staff were so reassuring and friendly that I felt at home in no time.

I sat back and read some glossys whilst sipping on hot chocolate and let the professionals do their thing! First of all I had a colour put on my roots (to cover up my greys that have been peaking through for a while now *sob) then I had a toner put over the blonde as it was starting to look really brassy and yellow. I was honestly so, so, so happy with how the colour turned out as it’s much softer and more natural. Once I’d had the colour washed out (which including the worlds most amazing head message, pretty sure there was some sort of snoring/dribbling involved!) then I was back in the chair ready for the chop!

As I said I had about 3/4 inches cut off which may not seem a lot but it felt it, I wanted quite a blunt bob that was all the same length – I’ve always had layers so I’m now trying to grow them out and keep it all one length. The stylist even turned round to me at the last minute to see if I wanted to go ahead with the fringe but I bit the bullet and haven’t looked back since – I love it! (although a fore nightly fringe trim will soon become a chore I’m sure – or I think that’s the point where I learn to do it myself, eep!).

I think it’s so nice to have a change every once in a while and I couldn’t be happier with my new hair cut! The service, treatment and final results from the HARE & BONE salon where above my expectations – it’s safe to say I’ll be returning!

*A huge thank you to Hare & Bone for my hair cut and colour, all views are my own and honest – I truly do love my new hair! *inserts sassy hand emoji!*

It's such a gorgeous cut & really suits you! I liked having a full fringe but my hair grows so quickly that it's so hard to maintain! I really need to book myself in for a hair cut soon. xo
