FINDING YOUR HAPPY PLACE

As I’m sitting here writing this post (in my Christmas pjs, listening to 2 Pac no less) I feel really content with life right now, I want to start writing more lifestyle posts and reaching out to more of you from now on. I have had some things thrown at me in life that I want to open with you all and talk about, because even if it helps just one of you then I’m doing something right.

Life isn’t perfect, when is it? But It’s time to focus on the positives – no matter how small, and if we can take the time to do this once a day to make ourselves or someone else smile then it was worth it. I worry about work, about money, about what I’m doing with my life but on the flip side I have an incredible boyfriend, family and friends that are hear to support me, to pick me up when my plan didn’t quite work out or to laugh until we cry, and for that I am truly grateful.

I feel like we spend too much time being hard on ourselves because we’re not doing as well as the next person, but remember this; you are you, not them, so comparing yourself to someone else is a pointless activity. Of course, we will always have personal life goals and places we see ourselves going and dreams are what keep us thriving to always do better so never let them go, just understand that sometimes things don’t happen as quickly as we’d like or other aspects get in the way, and that’s life.

Lately, I’ve been taking some time out to remember what truly makes me happy and finding time for myself. When I was shooting these outfits with my aunt, (it was only in my local park) but I took a moment to look around and appreciate the world around us, we take it for granted sometimes and forget to treasure it’s beauty. I absolutely love Autumn and Christmas – to me it really is the most wonderful time of the year, going for strolls on a crisp autumn day, those dreamy red cup hot chocolates, candle lit bubble baths and cherishing loved ones at Christmas; for me these are my happy places where I take a moment to smile and be thankful for everything I have.

Take time to find your happy place today and to find a reason to smile for no reason!

I couldn't agree more, it's too easy to dwell on the past sometimes!

I hope you're ok petal, you sound so pensive? It's important to hold on to what makes you happy, and remember life is always a mixed bag of ups and downs 🙂 <3 Claire @ Jazzpad
