Fortnum & Mason tent at Port Eliot Festival
If you caught my post earlier today on my visit to Port Eliot festival or you follow me on Instagram then you would know that I spent this weekend in Cornwall with Zoe and Julie on a trip with Bumble and bumble. On Saturday we were taken to lunch at the Fortnum & Mason pop up which was just beautiful – you entered the restaurant through an archway which looked so magical (so magical that in fact I snapped my festival outfit pictures there which you’ll see tomorrow!).
Once we sat down at the table we were brought over jugs over F&M homemade lemonade which was so yummy and refreshing as it was such a hot day. I was lucky enough to be sat at the table next to Millinery expert Stephen Jones and super blogger Sasha from Liberty London Girl so you can imagine how amazing my dining experience was – it was so inspiring sitting next to two industry experts! My main girl Julie was sat on the other side of me so obviously there was lots of gossip and epic menu decisions going on also!
Onto the food, I ordered crab for my lunch which was delicious! I never used to be a big seafood fan but I’ve tried crab several times before and thought I’d gamble and it definitely paid off as the dish was so delicate but still filling at the same time. Julie opted for the steak sandwich which looked yummy and she said it was cooked to perfection.
I was so impressed by our dining experience, the food was lovely and there was a wide range on the menu. I was actually surprised at how reasonably priced the food was, as it was a Fortnum & Mason pop up I was expecting the food to be pricey but each lunch course ranged from around £6-£12 a meal – considering most festival food costs around £8 anyway I thought it was a darn good deal!
If you’re heading down to Port Eliot next year then be sure to swing by this beautiful pop up!
