Festival essentials may not be glamorous but all of these items are a must when camping! Dry shampoo will honestly be your best friend when you spend the weekend dancing in the sunshine and sleeping in a tent, this Pear and Sweet Vanilla Fudge Urban Dry Shampooalso smells incredible too! Pack a tangle teaser, hairbands and kirby grips to cover all hair disaster possibilities. Deodrant, toothbrush, toothpaste, hand wipes and hand sanitizer are all musts and crucial for any festival.
I’d recommend taking some face wipes as they are just so easy to whip your makeup off after a few too many vinos – I love the Simple Kind to Skin Face Wipes (pack of 7)ones! Make sure you pack some sun protection in case the weather takes a turn for the best – this Nivea Invisible Cooling Mist SPF 20is great as it’s a mist so it’s super easy to apply and also cooling upon application. On another note, make sure you pack some Carex hand sanitizer – an absolute must for any festival! I have a lovely Strawberry Laces scented one so be sure to pick up a bottle! Lastly I suggest packing a few plasters as there will always be that pair of sandals that you had to take but give you blisters like crazy and you don’t want to spend the weekend with sore feet when you need to dance!
For makeup I’d pack a good tinted moisturiser with SPF in case this country surprises us and you have a super hot weekend! Two of my favourites are the Clarins HydraQuench Tinted Moisturiser SPF 15&NARS Tinted Moisturiser SPF 30. I’ve chosen a cream blush as it’s much easier to apply and you don’t need a brush – same with face powder as this Jurlique Rose Finishing Powdernumber is a great compact you won’t need a brush either. Pack some waterproof mascara in case in rains (or you cry with laughter – which I’m sure at some point of the weekend you will!) a favourite of mine is the Smashbox Full Exposure Waterproof Mascara. I’ve chosen a lipgloss and two bright lipsticks which are a great finishing touch if you’ve got a bright/printed outfit.
I would alway be inclined to take a few nail products if I was camping as you’d be surprised how much free time you have in the mornings and around lunchtime as most acts don’t start until mid afternoon. I’d take some nail varnish remover pads as they are quick and easy to pack, and also a couple of polishes in fab festival shades! If you’re looking for an easier option then nail wraps are the ones for you – both of these Umberto Giannini & Bershka ones are favourites of mine and I’ve found they last for a good 3 days so you’ll be sorted for the weekend!
I’d pack lightly on the skincare as I always find when you’re at a festival your main priorety is to watch some amazing acts, get drunk and have a laugh with your friends – the last thing you’re worried about is your skincare routine. However, I would say pack some essentials such as moisturiser – your skin will be dehydrated due to alcohol and will thank you for this later. One of my favourites is the Liz Earle Skin Repair Moisturiseras it’s not too heavy. Pack some Origins Dark Circle Minimizeras there will be plenty of late nights and this miracle in a pot will be your saviour. Lastly I’d pack some Estee Lauder Clear Difference Targeted Blemish Treatment– just in case of any last minute breakouts!
You have to have some element of fun in your festival outfit – it is a festival after all! I absolute adore this Daisy ears headband, couldn’t be anymore perfect for a festival if it tried. This awesome phone case from Bershka is also a great little add on as it has a mirror under the bunny head – you’ll never know when you need a quick make-up touch up so always take a mirror & even better when it’s on your phone case! These super fun face stickers from Freedom @ Topshop are great for any fancy dress festivals such as Bestival!
