BEAUTY: BOBBI BROWN CC CREAM

*Bobbi Brown CC Cream in shade ‘Warm Nude’

I was super excited to trial this CC Cream from Bobbi Brown so when it landed on my doorstep I couldn’t whip it out of the box and onto my face fast enough. I’ve been impressed with all the previous Bobbi skincare and makeup products I’ve used so I had high hopes for this product… fear not it didn’t disappoint! BB/CC creams are usually a hazy area where people shy away from the products because they aren’t quite sure what they do, CC stands ‘for colour correcting’ and I found this great quote from Bobbi herself which sums the product up perfectly… “CC Cream colour corrects, illuminates and protects in one easy step”.

I definitely have to agree that CC creams are a great ‘all-rounder’ product and do help to correct any unevenness you have as well as illuminate the skin. I wouldn’t say this product is a foundation (unless you have amazing skin and opt for a more sheer coverage. I tend to wear foundations during the daytime as I work in London so I need a durable base throughout the day but I would say that CC creams are something that I’d pack for a holiday or they are also perfect for a ‘no makeup makeup’ sort of day where you don’t want to wear a full face of makeup but are still after some coverage.

This product retails at £29 so it’s on the pricier side but then Bobbi’s products are high end and you do actually get what you pay for in this case as this is one of my favourite CC creams that I’ve tried so far. The cream comes in three different shades – ‘pale nude’, ‘warm nude’ and ‘golden nude’ so there’s something for all skin types (if you are unsure which shade will suit you then have a read up here).

If you are CC newbie then I would say this is a great starting point (if you can spare the cash – I’ll also do a post on high street alternatives so there is something for everyone). Overall, I’m really loving this product and can see myself re-purchasing – although it’s one of those things you don’t use daily so I’m hoping it will last a while. The only downside I can find to this product is that is smells a little fragrant when you first use it but then the scent dies down once the product is settled on your skin.

Have you tried this CC Cream yet?
