The Novotel resort in Kamala beach, Phuket marked the last leg of our journey in Thailand and was the last hotel that we stayed in whilst in Phuket. We stayed in Phuket as I mentioned before we had previously stayed in the Patong beach area and fancied trying somewhere new, the hotel had an amazing infinity pool that was situated right on the beach (you can see from the pictures just how close it was) – it was so nice to have the beach right on our doorstep as we could choose where we wanted to spend the day.

We arrived at the hotel around 3pm and was shown to our sea-facing villa (the views from the bath were so beautiful! – obviously you can guess where I spent a good portion of my evenings haha!). We had a huge comfy bed – with those big squishy pillows that I had a lot of love for (you know the type!) and a lovely view from our balcony looking out over the sea. Once we’d checked in we headed straight for the pool and as it was low season it was really quiet and super relaxing, after a swim around we perched ourselves at the bar (the swim up bar with seats in the water no less!) and grabbed an Oreo milkshake to cool down… yum!

We then headed back to our rooms to shower and change before scouting somewhere to eat that night, we decided to take a stroll along the beach as there was so many little family run restaurants and we decided it would be nice to eat local (and cheap). We ordered some beef in chilli and garlic, with glass noodles and snapper fish which was delicious! It was so humid in the evenings so we decided to head back to our rooms and watch some films (in the worlds comfiest bed ever!).

The next day we opted for a lazy day around the pool as we had a 22 hour day of travelling ahead of us so we thought we’d make the most of our relaxation time! We grabbed some sunbeds and chilled out with our books, I actually spent most of the day sitting in the pool with my kindle to keep cool as it was just so hot.

Around 3pm we booked in for some spa treatments – this time of day was perfect to have them as it was around the time where the sun starts to get too much and you’re longing for some shade. I chose a derma-facial and Rob opted for an oil massage, both treatments were an hour long and so super relaxing! I was going to have a massage but I’d had enough Thai massages to last me a while and thought I’d get a facial, I also mentioned in my post here how bad my skin had gotten towards the end of the trip and I thought I’d opt for a facial in a bid to try and clear my skin.

During my facial my skin was deeply cleansed, moisturised and I also had a mask applied which was lovely. My skin felt really fresh after my facial and Rob kept mentioning how ‘glowing’ my skin looked – and it really did look radiant after. It also really helped to hydrate my skin and helped with my breakouts, although they couldn’t really be treated properly until I was home.

Our second evening at the hotel we enjoyed a lovely meal in the hotels restaurant which was divine (more on that tomorrow so no spoilers for now I’m afraid!). We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Novotel and was seriously impressed with the rooms, the hotel itself & pool area was beautiful and the staff were all so friendly. The location was great too as the hotel is situated right on the beach as it around a 5 minutes bus journey from Kamala town in case you’re looking to tear yourself away from the pool and venture out for the day.

I’d recommend this hotel to anyone looking to visit Phuket, especially the Kamala beach area! If you are looking to stay then do take a look at the prices and packages that the hotel has to offer here.
