So, as you know me and Rob visited the Sunset Grill restaurant on our second night at the Hyatt Regency hotel. We booked our table at 6pm as it’s always a great time to eat dinner as you can watch the sunset which is an amazing experience, and super romantic none the less! After browsing through the menu we both decided to go for the three course set meal and we ordered a bottle of Italian white wine to wash it down with (I’m super proud that I’ve converted Rob to a wine drinker!).
For starters I chose a tomato and mozzarella stack whilst Rob had beetroot and feta cheese salad. My starter was lovely and it wasn’t too filling which was nice as there’s nothing worse than being full up before your main course arrives. Rob didn’t enjoy his so much as he said there was a little too much beetroot in his salad so it was a bit overwhelming (he still wholfed it down no less… you know what these boys are like!)
I chose lamb chops for my main course and Rob chose steak – ever the manly option! I never normally chose lamb so I’m not really sure what came over me but I don’t regret it one bit as it was hands down the best I’ve ever eaten, it was just cooked so perfectly and was full of flavour. It was served with garlic cloves and a fried onion (poor Rob!) and we also ordered a side of sweet potato, cream cheese and bacon which was divine and went so well with our meals!
For desert I had a frozen mango ice-cream, which was amazing and so refreshing – although I forgot to take a picture before I ate it (I think I got a bit excited and started without thinking!). All in all our meal was an incredible experience, the food & drink was amazing and the service was great as the staff made us feel so welcome and kept our drinks topped up without asking – always a good thing in my eyes!
