BEAUTY: WHAT’S IN MY BEACH BAG

So I thought it was about time that I bought some beauty into my #Thailandtravelseries blog posts and I’ve decided to share with you all what I packed in my beach bag! Th beach bag itself is from *Michael Kors, It’s gold and attracts a little attention but why not when you’re on holiday? – It’s also the perfect size too for all my beach goodies. So first and foremost… reading! Probably the thing I indulge in the most on holiday (I read 5 books in Thailand!) so my Kindle was an obvious choice for me, I also packed Company and ELLE magazine so I could get my beauty/fashion fix whilst on the beach.

Before Thailand I went on a little shopping spree and picked up this J by Jasper Conran hat along with these Oasis sunglasses which were both from Debenhams, I bought them on the blue cross sale day so I got 20% off both which I was really happy about. (You can check out the rest of my haul here). I packed my phone so I could keep in touch with everyone back home but also so I could listen to my Spotify playlists whilst sunbathing on the beach (the area just outside of our hotel had Wifi on the beach which was great so I could listen to music!) I packed my trusty *Pioneer headphones which are amazing for when you just want to switch off and hear nothing/no-one else (when Rob was being irritating – I joke, sort of ha!)

Moving on to sun protection I packed my *Piz Buin Tan Intensifier Spray in SPF 30 from Fragrance Direct which is only around £5.99 which is great as sun screens can be so expensive in high street shops! I also took some *Clinique Super City Block SPF 25 which is great as it doubles up as a makeup base & sun protector, I wore this during the day times on it’s on as it gives a light coverage whilst on the beach. To protect my lips I took my beloved *Carmex balm from Fragrance Direct which was vanilla scented, it smells so good you could eat it (but I’d advise you don’t!). My second lip product was this *Michael Kors After Sun Lip Balm which I have to admit is an absolute genius product, it comes out clear but with a slight shimmer so it’s night to wear in the day or evening. Burning your lips is so uncomfortable and this product came in so handy as I could keep them protected at all times!

I simply had to pack my *Bumble and bumble Surf Spray because… well a holiday just wouldn’t seem a holiday without it! Quite a few of the days it was too hot to sit out during midday so after we’d eaten lunch I’d go back to our room to wash my hair, spritz in a load of Surf Spray then head down to the beach and chill with a book & a beer and let my hair dry naturally, it was bliss! – And a great result for my hair too! To protect my hair from the UV rays every morning I would spray in some *Charles Worthington Sunshine Protector Leave In Spray which really helped as usually my hair gets really dried out from the sun but this spray helped to protect it which is great.

I made sure I always kept my *Marc Jacobs Daisy Purse Spray from Fragrance Direct in my bag at all times, it’s the handiest size ever as I could travel through the airport with it in my bag and it also fits in your bag for a night out which is great if you want to top up your perfume. Another fail safe beach bag product was my Soap and Glory Hand Food as it’s great to keep your hands moisturised even in the heat and it’s such a convenient size for carrying around in your everyday bag. My last two products was this *Rimmel Natural Bronzer & *Japonesque Safari Chic Bronzer Brush which are both great sizes for carrying in your bag in case your make up needs a quick touch up.

What essentials do you pack in your beach bag?
