BEAUTY: POST HOLIDAY SOS SKINCARE

During our last week of holiday I’m not quite sure what happened but my skin took a turn for the worse, I couldn’t put a finger on what exactly had happened; whether it was the suncream or the humidity but I started to get clusters of spots around my cheeks and jaw line. I was so upset as I didn’t have any of my good skin care or spot treatments with me apart from an evening moisturiser so I just made sure that my skin was hydrated every night and had to wait until I was home to get my skin back to normal.

After our 22 hour journey home and the travelling 14 hours on a flight I couldn’t wait to get a pamper session in the day after we arrived home. Ever since we’ve been home I’ve been using this Jurlique Herbal Recovery antioxidant gel mask once a week, my skin is naturally oily and can sometimes become more prone to spots If I overuse exfoliators or masks. This one is quite gentle and has been helping my skin get itself back on track.

Every evening I’ve been applying the Origins Ginzeng energy boosting moisturiser and  Clinique Superdefense SPF 20 age defense eye cream to de-puff my eyes and give my skin some energy. This moisturiser smells amazing and is just so refreshing on my skin, since I’ve been home is the first time that I’ve properly been using it but I’ve been loving it so far.

A couple of nights a week I’ve been applying the La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo + anti-blemish cream – again I hadn’t used this before my trip but after hearing so many good things about it I thought I’d give it a whirl and have been loving it. It’s great to target any spots that I do get and also to prevent any from occurring. Lastly I’ve been using the Estee Lauder Idealist Pore Minimizing skin refinisher everyday under my makeup and I’ve found it’s made a big difference to my skin. These five products together have made such a difference to my skin and my skin has cleared up completely and is now back to normal which I’m so happy about!

Are any of these products your skin saviours?

Love La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo and I really want to try the Origins moisturiser, but I need to somehow get past the citrus scent. 🙁
