When it came to packing for Thailand it wasn’t an easy task… trust me! I have several of these clear airport bags as they are so handy for packing toiletries (and also from stopping everything leaking all over your clothes!) I’ve managad to ration my bags down to haircare, skincare & body and my makeup bag.
I thought I’d share with you what I’m packiung in my skincare/body bag, I’ve been going with mini products as they are so lightweight and are great for the time I’m travelling as I can use them all up and won’t have to bring anything home. When you are taking a backpack it really makes you think about what you need to carry as you’ll be lugging it around on your back in crazy heat – obviously I had to sneak in a few more ‘essentials’ into Rob’s backpack without him knowing 😉
So here’s what I’m packing:
Rimmel natural bronzer: You can’t go wrong with a bit of bronzer on holiday and this is a great one from Rimmel, it’s compact and reasonably priced. Also, for some reason my body always seems to tan really well but not my face so much so this is a must have for me!
Sanctuary body scrub & Sanctuary body butter: Nothing beats a good Sanctuary spa product as they all smell so fresh and scrummy. I’ve chosen the mini body butter to keep my tan moisturised and the body scrub in case I start peeling.
Origins GinZeng energy boosting moisturiser: I’ve packed this face moisturiser as it smells so good and it’s key to keep your skin hydrated whilst in the sun. I’ll be applying this every morning before my suncream session and every evening before bed.
Wild About Beauty golden skin glow: This golden skin glow is a lovely product which can be used on your face either under your foundation or on it’s on. It’s always nice towards the end of your holiday when your skin has cleared up and is looking glowing and you don’t always need a foundation or BB cream, that’s when a product like this steps up to the mark and comes in handy.
Victoria’s Secret ‘Bombshell’ mini perfume: This perfect smells amazing and I was so lucky to be sent a sample size as it’s so perfect for taking with me! I’m also packing the Marc Jacobs Daisy perfume which is also a mini so it’s great to have a choice and they take up next to no room in my case!
St.Tropez gold skin illuminator: I wasn’t expecting to love this product as much as I do! I have the golden & pink skin illuminator but I think the golden one is so perfect for holiday. On holiday my evening makeup look doesn’t tend to stray too far from dewy/bronzed skin with some highlighter on my cheek bones, a few coats of mascara and some gloss. This illuminator is perfect for highlighting my cheekbones and has such a lovely glow.
Xen Tan body scrub and tan: It doesn’t hurt to pack another body scrub… right? I love the smell of this one and the products really are so mini I thought it would be rude to leave them behind. The tan will be great to pop on and add any extra colour where needed and the scrub again is great for peeling (although I’m hoping I wont be peeling that much!)
Weleda rose oil and body wash: This body wash smells amazing and I’ll be keeping these gems just for me as Rob likes to pack his ‘manly’ body washes. The rose oil will be great for applying straight from the shower to keep my skin hydrated.
What mini essentials would you be packing for holiday?
