Just over a week ago me and my best friend headed out to Lifehouse Spa in Thorpe-Le-Stoken (in Essex in case you weren’t aware) for the day. It took us around 45 minutes to get there which was relatively close and we had a great drive with no traffic – which was surprising as we went on a Friday.
We arrived at the spa around half 11 and our treatments were booked in at 12 so we checked in and headed off to change into our robes for the day. The changing rooms were so tiny and there wasn’t any room for our stuff so we had to be moved to separate lockers, the locker space was probably the only issue we incurred throughout the whole day. After checking in we headed off for our 55 minute full body massages which we had as a couples treatment and it was incredible!! Probably one of the best massages I’ve ever had, it was so relaxing and I’m pretty sure I was dribbling through most of it haha.
After we’d finished with our massaged we went off for a three course buffet lunch, we had salad for starters, chicken curry and vegetables for lunch and chocolate brownies for desert (oops!) The food was so yummy and we enjoyed a glass of champagne to wash it all down with. Once we’d finished at lunch we headed to the sleep pods for an hour where we could have a post-lunch nap.
We rounded the day off with a visit to the sauna & steam room, the plunge pool (eek) and lounging around reading our kindles for an hour. We made the most of the day and didn’t leave until about 6, we felt so refreshed and cleansed when we left it was lovely, the overall experience at the spa was great and as it’s so close to home we’ve both promised we’ll be heading back there for another spa package soon for some relaxing.
We booked our spa day through Wahanda as they have some great offers on spa packages and beauty treatments. It was super easy to use the site and to find the perfect package for us, if you haven’t used the site already take a look as it has over 3,500 locations throughout the UK so there’s something for everyone on there. Check out the spa days & spa packages website for some great deals too.
Have you ever visited the Lifehouse spa or booked through Wahanda?
