SNIP SNIP: A TRIP TO THE MVC SALON

Michael Van Clarke – 1 Beaumont Street, London, W1G 6DF

For those of you who follow my Instagram/Twitter you will know that a couple of weeks ago I went for the big chop and got about 6 inches cut off my hair. Now, anyone who knows me will know that this decision which I talked myself in and out of for about two weeks but in the end I just went ahead and booked the appointment. I reasoned with myself that if I chickened out last minute i’d cut get an inch taken off and tidy up my split ends but deep down I knew that I wanted to go for it.

So the day soon rolled round, I turned up at the salon still questioning myself as to whether I wanted to go through with it. See I’ve been crushing on this hair length for some time now but my hair had grown so long I was scared to let it go, however I knew that I was in good hands at the salon and I decided to bite the bullet and finally go for it. I’ve been to the MVC salon before and had my hair cut with Gustav and he’s amazing!! Honestly he just seems to ‘get’ what I want and I feel so comfortable letting him take the reigns as I know he wont fail me!

I had my hair coloured a warm rich brown colour – which only actually took around 20 minutes to take which I was really pleased with. I then had my hair washed and blow dried then dry cut by Gustav. After a few deep breaths and one final persuasion we decided to go for it and I’ve honestly not looked back since! Since working in London I’d found long hair really hard to manage as it always seemed to be ruined or wind swept by the time I’d got to work, it’s so much easier to manage now and takes me roughly ten minutes to style each morning which means more time in bed… hurrah!

My second experience at the MVC salon was just as good as the first and it’s so comforting going to a salon where you wont be disappointed as it always seems a big deal getting your hair cut as you are completely trusting the stylist. I couldn’t recommend the salon anymore if you are going to a trim or the big chop then I guarantee you are in safe hands here!

Have you had a drastic hair change lately?

Ahh, I'm getting mine chopped off tomorrow, and I'm still undecided about whether I want it short or not! I'm just going to go for it – rip the bandaid off and all that! I'm sure I'll love it. 🙂 Your hair looks beautiful by the way! Really suits you! xx
