Jessica Base Coat: £8.99, OPI ‘Steady As She Rose’ (light): £3.99, OPI ‘Willima Tell Me About OPI’ (dark): £3.99 Rimmel Finishing Touch Ultra Shine Top Coat: £4.25
A while back Fragrance Direct approached me to see if i’d like to take part in a budget nail challenge using nail brands that they stock on their site. I am a huge fan of high street and budget brands so I jumped at the chance, I decided to create two of my favourite nail looks – one a soft girly pink/neutral shade which is perfect for daytime and a dark vampy purple which is great for glamming up evening outfits.
I started off with a Jessica base coat, I’ve never tried the brand before but know it has a great reputation so decided to give that a whirl. At £8.99 you save £1.75 from the original price which isn’t ground breaking but saving any amount of money is still a bonus with me. For my daytime shade I selected the OPI ‘Steady As She Rose’ shade which is a great pale neutral shade to go with all outfits. My evening polish I chose the OPI ‘Willima Tell Me About OPI’ as I’m a huge fan of dark shades – especially in the winter.
Both OPI polishes can be bought on the Fragrance Direct website for just £3.99 saving £9.96 from their retail price which is amazing. They stock a huge range of colours and I’ve also picked up another couple of shades from them previously which I love. To finish off I went with the Rimmel Ultra Shine Top Coat a I’d never tried this one before, it took a little while to dry but other than that it went on really well and did leave both colours with a great shine. You only save 24p on the Rimmel polish which is nothing but if you are buying a few other bits from the site then why not add it to your basket!
