As much as I love a good Christmas gift set sometimes you do get the odd ones that come with unwanted products that you never seem to use. I thought the best way to give a gift set is to create your own one, which is what I’ve done here so I thought I’d share it with you all!

I picked up this gorgeous heart basket from Wilkinson for just £4 which is such a bargain, its a great basket to hold all the products I chose and it’s something you could re-use after for skincare/ make up products etc. I thought the products wouldn’t quite sit in the basket properly on their own so I picked up a piece of cute gingham tinsel from the £1 shop to stuff the bottom of the basket with.

I then chose a selection of my favourite beauty products (ones that I love myself and I think would be great to receive) – I made sure I included a range of products such as nail polish, tan, skin care, as well as hand and hair products. By creating your own beauty basket you can cram it full of great products and avoid the not-so-great ones that get sold on Ebay post Christmas. It can work out a little more expensive this way but take advantage of products on offer and pick up pieces from budget beauty brands to fill out the basket.

To wrap up the basket I picked up a roll of burlap ribbon for £2 also from Wilkinsons and tied a cute bow to make it for presentable. This would be a great gift for any beauty lover and i’d love to receive a gift like this as it also feels a little more thoughtful than just receiving a gift set.

this is such a lovely idea, the basket is beautiful too and would make for a lovely decorative piece in a bedroom after they've used their gifts 🙂 xxx

Oh I love this, I may have to do a last minute one for my mum. I think this is great as like you said sometimes there are things that just won't be used. My mum loves hand lotion and body wash, so anything else would just gather dust. Love the heart basket, may get a couple to keep my my bits and bobs in. Thanks for the inspiration xx

Hey,Really amazing idea.I want to be more into crafting, however,in light of the fact that I am never ready to make my presents resemble the pictures. My sister is truly into crafting,so possibly I'll hit an arrangement with her and watch her kids while she wraps my presents,in the not so distant future.I'm certain she would be completely eager to bail me out on the off chance that she has sufficient energy.Best Wishes 🙂
