First up in this weeks favourite beauty picks post is the Dove blue fig & orange blossom scent nourishing body wash. I’ve always been a fan of Dove products as they are reasonable priced and they always smell great… this one is no exception! It smells fruity and clean but not to overpowering which is refreshing.
Next up is the Nails Inc Feathers polish in shade Cornwall which is an amazing polish and no picture could ever quite do it justice, if you’re ever passing a Nails Inc counter make sure you pick it up and have a peek. It’s the most amazing cobalt blue shade & white feather effect polish, it comes out quite thick which is great as you can get away with one coat. If you’re going for a real textured look then definitely apply two coats. This nail polish is a real show stopper and great if you are wanting something ‘a little different!’.
I attended a beauty event the other day for Avon and received this Luxe eyeshadow palette in shade ‘black tie’ in my goody bag and am still in awe of the pretty colours. The mink/brown shade on the left and bottom left are gorgeous and will be great for creating a natural smokey eye. I can’t really see myself using the pink much but i’m looking forward to having a play around with the colours and seeing how they look together. There are five other gorgeous palettes in the collection so keep an eye out.
I recently attended another event for Debenhams this time where they were showcasing lots of new brands that are now going to be stocked there. In my goody bag this particular product caught my eye and safe to safe i’ve found a great skin mask! The crystal clear skincare ’10 minute glow’ has been working a treat for me. It’s a 10 minute mask that you apply and then peel off, it left my skin feeling extremely hydrated and fresh, i’ll be including this product into my daily skincare routine for sure.
Last up is the Trevor Sorbie large hair pins, it seems like a silly thing to rave about but in fact I use hair pins almost every day as i’m sure most of you all do too. A couple of things that I learn quickly about hair pins is 1.) I go through probably a pack a month, I never have a clue where they all end up going!! 2.) don’t buy cheap ones as they really don’t work 3.) I can never find any strong or long enough. Well I needn’t look no further, the Trevor Sorbie pins retail at just £3.09 which is a strong high street rival price but they will be my go-to pins from now on as they really do work.
