First up in this weekly favourites post is the *he-shi ‘one day tan’ – now I do love a good fake tan me, I tend to use it more in the summer to top up a natural tan as sometimes in the winter it can look a little harsh. The first thing I noticed about this one day tan is that it actually smells okay, most fake tans have that kind of biscuity kind of smell which is really off-putting, and although this one isn’t scent free it’s definitely a vast improvement on most that I have tried. I applied this using a tanning mitt and I love the fact that when you apply it the colour comes out instantly so you can see if you have missed a patch, I found this tan easy to apply and would definitely consider re-purchasing although I don’t use that often so this one will last me a while.
Next up is the *Bumble and bumble ‘prep spray’ which I’ve been finding myself using a lot of lately! I apply my prep spray when I’ve just washed my hair as it helps to detangle wet hair and also prepare my hair for styling, it’s one of those products that you might not necessarily think you’d need in your routing until you’ve used it, you know? My hair is colour treated so I try to protect it as best as I can so this product is a definite go-to for me right now.
The other week I had a bit of a beauty haul in Superdrug and picked up two of the Maybelline ‘babylips’, when I bought them they were on offer in Superdrug for two for £5 which was a right steal. I bought this one which is the hydrate one, and also the pink punch shade. I use this balm pretty much everyday as it’s so great to carry in my bag and you don’t have to think about applying it like you would a lipstick or coloured balm. It really is so hydrating and one of my favourite lip products on the high street right now, it’s so cheap too it really would be rude not to?!
Now, this next product is quite unusual for me to love as i’m not a huge fan of cream blushers but this one caught my attention. I received the *Rimmel ‘stay blushed’ a while back and have to admit that I was pleasantly surprised by the product! I have shade ‘Sunkissed Cherry’ and it’s a great vibrant shade, I only need to apply a small amount and just work it into small circles along my cheek bones to blend on top of my foundation. Rimmel products have always been a high street favourite of mine and i’ll be checking out the other shade ‘Pop of Pink’ for sure!
This *Liz Earle ‘deep cleansing mask’ is targeted for oily/combination skin and has worked an absolute dream for me! I’ve been using it 2/3 times a week on top of my daily skincare routine and have really started to notice a difference since using it. I have naturally oily skin and am prone to break outs if i’m stressed/not drinking enough water and this products has really helped to give a deep cleanse and it leaves my skin really super soft after using it!
Last up in this weekly favourite post is the *Caudalie ‘divine scrub’ which first off I just have to say smells incredible! It has a really great consistency and is quite ‘gritty’ which I love about it, I hate it when you buy a scrub/exfoliator that has hardly any exfoliating beads in it as it feels like it isn’t doing anything! I’ve been using this scrub in the bath before tanning/shaving and it leaves my skin really ridiculously soft every time. It’s a little more expensive than high street scrubs but is well worth the investment as you get your moneys worth.
