weekly favourites #1

I’m backkkk! 🙂 I took a week off blogging as last week as it was my last week interning at a beauty PR and also my graduation last Friday so things were a little manic. Also, I was having my blog re-designed by Abby from Baggle Web & Design, the girl is amazing so if you’re looking for a little re-vamp I couldn’t recommend her anymore!

My little break from blogging has given me time to re-think what I want to focus my blog on and to also think about feature ideas, i’ve decided that I am going to focus on beauty blogging now with a sprinkle of fashion, events and travel. So expect to see lots more beauty posts around here from now on, I’m also going to be setting up a Youtube channel this week which is all very exciting/nerve wracking so i’ll keep you all updated with my channel details!

I’m currently going through so many beauty products at the moment that I thought a ‘weekly favourites’ post would be a great way to share my current loves with you. So here goes with week numero uno…

First up is the *TRESemme Oil Elixir which is from their dry oils range, I have the one for colour treated hair which works a treat! I use 2-3 pumps at a time, rubbing the oil through the lengths and ends of my hair before blow drying it. I’ve found this product helps to nourish my hair and it gives it a great shine without feeling too greasy as my hair is naturally oily.

Next up is my favourite nail polish for this season; ‘Chinchilly’ by Essie. I know that’s quite a big claim but I really do love this polish, it’s the perfect mink/grey shade and is understated yet sleek. This is my go-to colour which I wear normally during the week as it goes with everything and I know it won’t clash with particular outfits. I picked this polish up from Superdrug for £7.99 and will be repurchasing when it runs out for sure!

Hair hero *Bumble & bumble Surf Spray is a product that I have been loving a lot recently and using on a daily basis. I tend to wash my hair of an evening, semi blow dry it and let the rest dry when i’m asleep, in the mornings I just tip my head upside down, spritz some Surf Spray and I’m good to go! It’s perfect for getting ready quickly for a fuss-free look.

*Illuminating Radiance Cream by Simple has been a make up bag favourite these past few weeks, it’s great to put on underneath foundation and gives skin a lovely glow. My skin is quite sensitive but i’ve found this product smells great and hasn’t irritated my skin at all.

I’ve been loving lip balms at the moment as opposed to lipsticks as they are so easy to wear everyday and are great to apply on the go. This Rimmel Colour Rush Balm in shade ‘On Fire’ has been a great shade for me as it adds a pop of colour to your outfit and livens up your make up in an instant. It lasts really well and only needs applying 2-3 times a day max.

Last up is the Real Techniques Blush Brush, I had seen so much hype in the blogger world about the Real Technique brushes I had to admit I was curious. When my best friend bought some and swore I needed them in my life I made the decision to purchase a couple, and I don’t think I’ve ever looked back! This brush is so soft and feels amazing when applying blusher! I managed to get this brush in a 3 for 2 deal so keep an eye out for offers as they are definitely worth the investment!

Which product is your go-to from this weeks favourites?
