Morning lovelies!! <3
Last night I was having a read through all of my favourite blogs (which is one of my favourite ‘down time’ things to do of an evening!!) when I came across this uh-mazing competition on Natasha’s blog!
So, in a nutshell you have to create your dream festival outfit that costs under £200 and blog about it, Natasha is running this competition alongside Shopstyle who have offered the winners a whopping £1,000! There will also be two runners up who will each receive £200! You have until the 21st of June to enter, so get your styling heads on my lovelies and power on!
Shopstyle is an online shopping site with all your favourite brands rolled into one!! You can shop both high-street and designer and they even have an ‘Editor’s Pick’ and ‘Feature Look’ outfits in case you are stuck for ideas!
Now I love a good competition me, and style outfits is also another favourite past time on la blog so I thought i’d give it a crack and here is my entry!! I was searching high and low across various fashion sites for a dress with tassles on for my outfit staple, I have a feeling that tassles are going to be a huge trend this summer and they always looks so chic at festivals!
A lot of key pieces in my wardrobe are black (no idea why) but I just feel it’s such a great base to dress up with lots of fun accessories. This dress is super casual, but it will be comfy and thats the key to any festival outfit! When jumping around to your favourite band that super short dress you pictured would look great is no longer practical, or those jeans you thought would be a comfort are now soaking wet – all thanks to the english weather and you will now be in a strop (or I would be.)
I decided to go with some tan gladiator sandals, again practical and they look fab! They will stay on your feet when your dancing which is always key when looking for festival footwear! The tribal drawstring bag is one of my favourite pieces from this outfit as the colours are gorgeous and I feel it really makes the outfit, and at only £12 from Matalan… what a bargain!!
I found these circle sunglasses on the Free People website, now i’m usually a wayfarer kind of sunglasses girl but when it comes to festivals it would be rude not to have some fun sunglasses and I thought this pair would look perfect with my outfit!
The headband is super cute and also covers the patches of hair you missed when rubbing in your dry shampoo! I invisioned that with this outfit I would have my hair down with maybe some Bumble & Bumble surf spray in to give my hair some messy/bed head curls (which I don’t need any help achieving whilst camping at festivals haha)
This Topshop necklace is a real statement piece and ties in perfectly with the colours in the bag, it adds a real boho/ tribal feel to the outfit which is a great finishing touch. I’m also a lover of lots of jewellery and decided to go with matching gold arrow cuffs to wear on each arm, I added a cute gold ring to complete the outfit.
So there we have it, my festival look for under £200. I even have around £60 left over – more money towards a few ciders at the festival!! 🙂 I hope i’ve inspired your festival looks for this summer! Let me know what looks are inspiring you this festival season!
If you want to enter, check out Natasha’s post here with all the information on how to enter as well as her own example of a fab festival outfit.
