London Fashion Week, in under 500 words!

So.. much to my excitement i was able to attend this years London Fashion Week at somerset house courtesy of Trace Publicity who i was interning with at the time!

I worked two days with Trace in the office, helping to mail out invites ready for the shows, packing up the clothes and general post-fashion-week fun!
I was then able to help out on Friday the 16th and Saturday the 17th for the shows… EEEEEKK!
My schedule was as follows;
Friday 16th:

9am: Meet at Freemasons Hall
We were helping out with the Vauxhall Fashion Scout Graduate Showcase and had to make sure everything was ready to rumble! (we even had time to grab a quick starbucks- how showbiz!)
11am-3pm: Working at the Graduate showcase
I was lucky enough to be working on the doors so i got to greet lots of oh-so-fabulously dressed people!!
At around 2pm i was rushed off with three other girls as we’d been chosen to help out with prep for the Jean Pierre Broganza show.. Buzzing!!
3pm: Jean Pierre Broganza show at Somerset house
We got the chance to help pack the goodie bags, help with general duties and seat the guests!
Luckily i positioned myself towards the front so when the production team shouted ‘sit down the shows going now’ i managed to nab myself a front row seat in block A.. score!!
(Also sneaked myself a goodie bag containing some Benefit pore reducing moisturizing cream and some Label.M hair shine spray)
6pm: Teatum Jones presentation at the RSA
After we were hastily ushered out of the tent for the next show we moved along to our next venue the RSA, John Adam Street where Teatum Jones were holding a presentation for their S/S 12 collection.
The platform situated in the centre of the room held five elegant models showcasing the collection. It had a very 1940’s nostalgic feel and the collection was truly one of beauty and grace!
Oh.. and i only strolled past the-one-and-only Hilary Alexander!! Slightly starstruck!
Saturday 17th:

7.30pm: Swedish school of textiles, Freemasons Hall
Once again i was back at Freemasons this time working with the swedish school of textiles!
This show was slightly more chaotic as it started half an hour late so everyone was running around slightly loosing the will to live and in much need of a strong beverage!!
On the plus side i met Jay from the Dirty Sexy Things! Phwoarrr!- and the show was a great success with some fab collections!!
After a hectic few days i made my way back to Fenchurch street ( a la running in heels!) and missed my train but a mere 2 minutes.. bummer!!
After returning home at 10.30pm on a saturday night, exhausted but still on such a high from actually attending London Fashion Week i would do it all again in a heartbeat!!
Now.. who to work for next year?! the decisions! ha
